Re: Graovac's comments

I read this as they put him on waivers to get him to Iowa and they didn't really say much to him before it happened. I suppose it was surprising because he needed waivers so he probably felt a little more secure? If he couldn't tell his game wasn't good enough then the kid has an issue. What I find ...

Re: This is so much fun

Definitely a different vibe to this season. The wild have had success in the past but it never felt they were playing from a position of power. Other years all it would take was one injury to unravel the season. Injuries to Bordin and dumba? No change. Hell I forgot dumba has been out of the lineup....

Re: Players' Tribune

This story is so very important to get out. I live with someone that has mental health issues. It isn't easy. There is still a stigma surrounding it. Part of the problem is it is a very real illness but it's often hard for other to 'see' anything wrong. And no one wants to be called crazy. That's wh...

Re: Nyquist - how many?

10 games would be a good start. Stuck infractions like this have no business in the game. Bar has to be high. It won't happen. 5 maybe 7 games.
How many games did ohlund get for breaking koivu's leg again?

Re: Minnesota Twins

When you're 10 years old and you play first base, are you going to be into Frank Thomas or Scott Stahoviak? That explains those few years. when i was 10 Kent Hrbek was a 22 year old rookie.... baseball has always been my sport. played football and basketball in high school but baseball was what I w...

Re: Minnesota Twins

I used to follow baseball almost religiously growing up. Can't really pinpoint when I started to loose interest. It started before the Wild arrived but really accelerated after. I hope they are better. nothing worse than a shitty baseball team.

Re: This week in the NHL

I still think Iginla dictates where he wants to go for a cup run. He has NMC. LOLorado is in a bad spot with him businesswise Not all that interested in the Arizona players. I want Scandella to be good but it just never seems to happen. Just when you think he has arrived he gets hurt usually. I don'...

Re: Hamilton Is Good

I used to be much more into plays and musicals than I am now. Haven't seen much of the the more recent stuff such as Hamilton or Book of Mormon. I do have tickets to the 20th anniversary tour of RENT. I will always get tickets to Les Miserables when that comes thru town. Beauty and the Beast. And wh...

Re: Tuch called up

the wild will have 21 games remaining after the deadline. Dubnyk will start 18 or 19 of those? I suppose a few less if the wild have a position wrapped up. If Kuemper can secure an asset at the deadline that might make good business sense to deal him and let Stalock watch from the bench.

Re: Tuch called up

stalock resigned for 2 years making him the wild's exposed goalie for expansion draft. Also kind of signals that Kuemper will get moving on. would the wild deal kuemper and use stalock as the backup after the deadline this year?

Re: Iginla wants out

he's hungry
he's considered a playoff performer
he got that ever so important grit, which the wild lack
from what i've read he's professional, a leader

I don't know the Wild need what he brings but having what he brings certainly wouldn't hurt to have around.

Re: Iginla wants out

he is nearly 40 (july 1) has 12 points in 48 games has NMC that he will need to waive. He will absolutely not be back in lolorado next season. He can probably choose which team he is traded to, right? While Sakic might want a 2nd rounder for him realistically it would be in their best interest to ta...

full puck daddy story http://sports.yahoo.com/news/jarome-iginla-hopes-for-trade-out-of-colorado-id-like-to-be-in-playoffs-053813363.html I'd think his stock is very low. could he be had for a 4th or a combination of picks greater than 4th round? 4th this year and next? might be worth it. Iginla wants out

Can't blame him http://nhl.nbcsports.com/2017/02/02/iginla-hopes-to-be-moved-before-the-trade-deadline/ his pro-rated cap hit is a little under 2m. Is there enough in the tank to make him desirable? His numbers are not good but he is playing on the worst team in decades. they have 94 goals as a team...

Islanders returning to Nassau County?

http://www.thescore.com/news/1221125 I think the most shocking part of the article is "The Coliseum served as the Islanders' home from 1972 - 2015, at which time it was vacated in favor of Barclays Center. A $130-million renovation has since begun, and a further retrofit could allow for an upda...
