G1: Loss 4-2 @ DET

Very, very, very predictable outcome based on how that game went. Dominate early, can't finish, fail on PP, then give them a 5:3. Hope that was more "it's one game" than harbinger of the season.

This team gets into their own heads so easily.

Do they need to scrap the D coach on the bench and get a Bench Shrink?

I think it's just one game. It's a long season. Good to see JEEK get a goal, though.

What did you guys think of those goaltender interference calls? The first looked like the right call, but I thought the second on Granny was questionable, given that he had no place to go with the defender right on his left hip.

thara - wasn't the puck already in the crease when Howard was bumped? If so, doesn't that invalidate GI? Need a zebra's input here.

Granny looked like he was pushed.

I might be a bit biased but I didn't like either call.

I'd have to look at it again, but I think it was in the crease on that first one.
